DFW Airport Releases Its Environmental, Social 和 Governance Report
In fiscal year 2023, DFW experienced the busiest year in its 49-year history. The airport served more than 79 million customers, while continuing to add new destinations around the world 和 driving record-setting passenger traffic, aircraft operations 和 revenues. In the year ahead, DFW remains committed to transforming travel through innovation 和 community collaboration. As a global leader in sustainability, the airport’s goal is to reach net-zero carbon by 2030, 20 years ahead of the industry goal.
This year’s 环境、社会和治理 report reflects DFW’s commitment to its employees, customers, partners 和 future growth for the betterment of the North 德州 region. The following are some of DFW’s accomplishments in fiscal year 2023:
- DFW 和 American Airlines approved the new Use 和 Lease Agreement, paving the way for the construction of a reimagined Terminal C 和 new Terminal F.
- DFW broke ground on its innovative electric Central Utility 计划t (eCUP), which will be fueled primarily by electricity purchased from 100% renewable sources, providing additional capacity for future airport growth.
- DFW achieved an 81% reduction in annual CO2 emissions compared to a 2010 baseline.
- DFW earned numerous accolades, including:
- Best Airport in North America (40M+ passengers) for the second year in a row, by Airports Council International (ACI)
- Best Airport Employee Recognition Program by ACI
- Best Sustainability Initiative in Airports
- Owner of the Year: Commitment to advancing the construction management industry, supporting professionals, fostering investment in construction by programs by Construction Management Association of America North 德州 Chapter (CMAA)
- Recognized by Healthiest Employers as an inductee of its Hall of Fame 和 a national winner of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America
